威士忌，是一種烈性酒，蘇格蘭地區的釀造生產有500年的歷史，因此蘇格蘭地區被視為所有威士忌的發源地。威士忌由大麥等谷物釀制而成，在橡木桶中陳釀多年后，調配成43度左右的烈性蒸餾酒。英國人稱之為“生命之水”。 按照產地可以分為：蘇格蘭威士忌、愛爾蘭威士忌、美國威士忌和加拿大威士忌四大類。
